How to Use the Calculator

  1. Input the Radius: Enter the radius of the circle in the provided input field. The radius is the distance from the center of the circle to any point on its circumference.

  2. Input the Diameter: Alternatively, you can enter the diameter of the circle. The diameter is the distance across the circle, passing through its center, and is twice the length of the radius.

  3. Calculate the Area: Click the "Calculate" button to instantly get the area of the circle. The calculator uses the standard formula for the area of a circle, A = πr2, where rrr is the radius. If you entered the diameter, the calculator will first convert it to the radius by dividing it by two.

Example Calculations

  • Radius Input: If you enter a radius of 5 units, the calculator will compute the area as A= π×52\pi \times 5^2 = 78.54 square units.
  • Diameter Input: If you enter a diameter of 10 units, the calculator will first find the radius as 10/2=5  units and then compute the area as A=  π×52\pi \times 5^2 = 78.54 square units.
